Abstract

This paper proposes a high-frequency isolated dc/dc converter, whose switching frequency is 20 MHz. Meanwhile, the switch voltage stress is reduced based on optimal switch impedance. In the proposed converter, the switch can operate in ZVS condition, which can help to reduce the switching loss. A mathematical model of the proposed high frequency converter is built, which provides an effective design method for the system parameters. Meanwhile, the design method for PCB air-core transformer has been proposed and depicted. To verify the feasibility of the proposed converter and mathematic model, a 10 W prototype is built.
