A novel selective inhibitor of jnk suppresses alloreactivity and prolongs cardiac allograft survival

Abstract

Activation of activator protein-1 (AP-1) is crucial for T cell activation, and is regulated by JNK (Jun N-terminal kinase). SP600125 (SP) is a recently discovered selective inhibitor of JNK that suppresses inflammatory cytokine synthesis in vitro. Aim of this study is to demonstrate in vivo immunosuppressive action of this compound.
