Abstract

Volume integral equations (VIEs) are indispensable to solve electromagnetic (EM) problems with inhomogeneous or anisotropic penetrable objects. In the numerical solution of VIEs, one has to evaluate hypersingular volume integrals over tetrahedral elements in the diagonal matrix entries. In this paper, we develop a novel scheme to evaluate such integrals by transforming the volume integrals into boundary integrals based on the Green-Gauss theorem so that the formulations can be simplified. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the scheme.
