Abstract

The problem of time-varying modal parameter estimation for missile and rocket on operation is studied. Based on FS-TARMA model, a novel robust time-varying modal parameter estimation method is proposed in this paper. The proposed method uses absolute deviation to evaluate the fitness of the data, and Fourier functions are used as basis function of time-varying parameters in TARMA model, and by solving the least absolute deviation estimator, the projection of parameter matrix has been estimated. The proposed method is validated by a time-varying numerical system, the identification results demonstrate that: Compared with traditional least square estimation method, the proposed method has superior computation accuracy and identification robustness under outlier’s condition.
