Abstract

A novel quad-band microstrip bandpass filter (BPF) with high skirt selectivity by using nested folded SIRs (NFS) and zero feed structure is proposed. The filter has a compact size for using two embedded folded stepped impedance resonators (SIRs). Three extra transmission zeros are created in the stopband by using a zero feed structure. For the experimental verification of the simulated results, the proposed filter was fabricated and measured. Results showed good agreement with the simulated results.
