Abstract

A phosphazene-based amine-functionalized hybrid porous polymer (PHPP) with certain crystallinity has been successfully synthesized via Schiff base reaction between hexakis(4-formylphenoxy)cyclophosphazene and 4-(2-aminoethyl)diethylenetriamine. Although PHPP offered low porosity, it showed an excellent adsorption ability for volatile iodine, Hg2+, and Congo red (CR) due to the strong host-guest interaction.
