Abstract

A novel phase-shift full-bridge converter is proposed in this paper. The converter topology presented here employs an auxiliary circuit consisting of a few passive components. With this auxiliary circuit, the full bridge converter can realize zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) independent of load and input voltage. The steady analysis and operating principle are demonstrated. Based on the analysis, a criterion of optimal design is given. A 1500 W/48 V prototype verified the feasibility of the converter.
