Abstract

In this paper, we synthesized a new Ba 3 La 0.95 Pr 0.05 Nb 3 O 12 phosphor. Based on Pr3+−Nb5+ intervanlence charge transfer state, the temperature sensing performance of the phosphor has been greatly improved compared with the thermally coupled levels based materials. The maximum absolute and relative temperature sensitivity of Ba 3 La 0.95 Pr 0.05 Nb 3 O 12 reaches 0.00484 K−1 and 0.581% K−1, respectively. Meanwhile, the two monitored emission peaks are located at 492 nm and 608 nm, which are well separated, providing a good signal discriminability. This work may provide new ideas for developing high performance temperature measuring materials.
