A novel one-dimensional framework material constructed from antimony-substituted polyoxovanadium clusters: [(C 2N 2H 10) 2β-{Sb III8V IV14O 42(H 2O)}](C 2N 2H 8) · 4H 2O

Abstract

The novel polyoxovanadate containing antimony [(C 2N 2H 10) 2β-{Sb III8V IV 14O 42(H 2O)}](C 2N 2H 8) · 4H 2O has been synthesized from a mixture of VOSO 4, Sb 2O 3, en and H 2O under hydrothermal conditions. The spherical [β-{Sb III8V IV 14O 42(H 2O)}] 4− clusters form a one-dimensional double-chain structure with non-bonding Sb ⋯ O contacts.
