Abstract
A multi wideband Bandstop Filter (BSF) loaded with annular shaped stubs, is presented for the suppression of interfering signals in Ultra-Wideband (UWB) applications. Annular stubs generate periodic notches. Transmission line model analysis is investigated to validate the S-Parameter Response using Even and odd mode analyses. Further, lumped model of the filter is extracted, and compared with the distributed line model response. This filter offers three wideband bandstop response at the center frequency of 2.24 GHz, 4.8 GHz, 6.52 GHz with 10 dB rejection bandwidth of 79 %, 26 %, 13 % respectively. The skirt factor achieved is 222.80 dB/GHz, 175.06 dB/GHz and 62.60 dB/GHz for respective stopbands. The proposed structure is fabricated, measured and it has a compact size of 14.7 mm × 51.25 mm (0.09λg × 0.31λg).
