Abstract
The survival rate of hair follicles serves as one of the most important elements in the process of hair transplantation. After extraction from the scalp, hair follicles are fragile because of the lack of nutrition and oxygen. Therefore, cleaning coagulated blood wrapped around hair follicular grafts is a crucial step in hair transplant surgery. Surgeons have previously cleaned follicular grafts using spray bottles, syringes, or metal sieves. However, these instruments are hard to sterilize or could hurt hair follicles in the cleaning process.
