Abstract
We report a novel method for measuring photo-inducedbirefringence of photosensitive fibres based on a fibre loop. Themethod is simple and is only slightly affected by the surroundings. Theexperimental results show that the photo-inducing normalizedbirefringence of the photosensitive fibre ismulti-decaying-exponentially proportional to the exposure and it canattain 10−5.
