Abstract

A novel low-loss transition from grounded coplanar waveguide (GCPW) to rectangular waveguide (RWG) is proposed in the paper. Multiple resonators are introduced to realize the wideband transition structure with good performance of out-of-band rejection. The main structure is designed under the bottom grounded plane of the GCPW transmission line in order to reduce radiation losses and improve the transmission efficiency, and moreover the transition has the advantage of simple fabrication and micro-assembly processes. A 0.2 THz filtering transition is designed as an example.
