Abstract

Novel microwave dielectric materials of ZnZrNb1.84Sb0.16O8 ceramics with high Q were prepared through a conventional solid-state route and investigated for the first time. The XRD patterns revealed that all the specimens exhibited a single phase with the wolframite structure of ZrZrNb2O8 sintered in the temperature range of 1200–1300 °C. The microwave dielectric properties of ZnZrNb1.84Sb0.16O8 ceramics were strongly dependent on the sintering temperature and relative density. Excellent microwave dielectric properties with high Q × f of 89, 400 GHz (at 7.357 GHz), er of 26.27, and τf values of −56.99 ppm/oC could be obtained sintered at 1250 °C for 4 h.
