Abstract

In this paper, a novel design scheme has been proposed to reduce output ripple of a Dickson charge pump with build-in capacitors. While a linear regulator is used to regulate the pump output to 15 V, an auxiliary transistor is utilized to improve the narrowband amplifier. It has also been proved that this design is effective to improve the system stability, and to serve as a soft-start circuit naturally. Finally, an error amplifier which consumes 7 μA is used and the pump output ripple is as low as 1 mV during light load.
