Abstract

High-frequency link matrix converter (HFLMC) has been given intense attention in electric vehicle (EV) battery inquiry on account of its high efficiency and compact volume. Nevertheless, the output voltage range of HFLMC is limited because of the character of buck converter. That makes it difficult to meet the requirements of large voltage range EV battery charging, discharging and measurement. A novel input parallel output series (IPOS) topology based on HFLMC with lower output current ripple is proposed for high voltage range applications in this paper, which increases output power by two-stage output series connection and improves the voltage range. The current ripple is reduced by carrier reverse space vector modulation in one of stages. The simulation results are used for verification the effectiveness and feasibility of the IPOS system.
