Abstract

Image encryption using chaos theory is gaining attraction over standard data encryption technique due to its high security with the cost of less time complexity and sensitivity to initial condition. In this paper an image encryption technique is proposed using a new one dimensional chaotic map. NIST test suite approves the random behaviour of the sequence obtained from the chaotic map. Intensity value of the pixels is modified using a mask generated using circular shift. Simulation results and theoretical analysis indicates its immunity against different statistical and differential attacks.
