Abstract

A novel higher-order probe correction algorithm is introduced for the spherical near field antenna measurements. The measured signal is processed by the Fast Fourier Transform along <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\varphi$</tex> direction, and then are integrated by Gaussian quadrature along <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\theta$</tex> direction, thus converting the transmission formula into a series of small matrix equations. In a virtual example simulated by FEKO, a Yagi antenna is used as a higherorder probe to measure a Taylor array. And the receiving signal is transformed by the proposed algorithm to achieve a pattern with high accuracy.
