Abstract

A porous polymer was synthesized by FeCl3 promoted oxidative coupling of 2,4,6-tris(thiophen-2-yl)aniline. Au nanoparticles supported on the polymer network were prepared by in situ reduction method, which exhibit high catalytic activity for catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP), Congo red (CR) and methylene blue (MB) using NaBH4 as reductant. The catalyst can be readily recovered and reused without obvious loss of catalytic activity.
