Abstract

Abstract A novel crystalline organic–inorganic hybrid material KCS-2 was successfully synthesized using an organically bridged silane. KCS-2 seems to have a large micropore opening (ca. 10 Å) and a large adsorption capacity for benzene molecules. This material can be utilized as a host material that can stably incorporate functional organic molecules inside its micropores.
