Abstract

In recent years, the architectural, engineering, construction and facilities management industry is going through a vigorous development phase. This paper aims to present the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D laser scanning technology in construction quality control and management.A novel construction quality control method, combined with BIM and 3D laser scanning technology, focusing on large engineering in complex structure and environment was applied in this paper to provide a reliable basis for the construction of the subsequent process, by measuring the entities to achieve a precision construction quality control.This paper also proposes an effective construction quality inspection and evaluation method based on statistical parameters.
