Abstract

A novel compact filtering antenna is presented in 3.5GHz WiMax band. The filter-antenna is composed of a monopole antenna and a dual mode filter with shorted stub. The dual mode resonator works together with the coupling of capacitive source and load to form two transmission zeroes so that the filter has steep skirt selectivity and harmonic suppression. Further simulations and tests of the filtering antenna were carried out. Measured results show good agreement with the simulation.
