Abstract
The present paper proposes a novel class of universal relation for incompressible isotropic electro-viscoelastic materials. A new universal relation valid for all nonlinear electro-viscoelastic isotropic materials is established. The proposed relation connects the stress and deformation components for any electro-viscoelastic material in an assigned constitutive family. A continuum mechanics-based electro-viscoelasticity theory is utilized to develop the relation, following the second law of thermodynamics. A new class of controllable deformation family in shearing motions based on the proposed universal relation is also obtained. In general, the proposed universal relation may help the modelers and materialist community in characterizing the material behavior, which was often ignored.
