Abstract

A novel chromogenic system of Pb2+ with 4, 5- dibromo- o- nitrophenylfluorone (DBONPF) was developed by the synergetic effect of carboxylic carbon nanotubes (c-CNTs) and cationic surfactants CTMAB. The absorption of Pb2+ by DBONPF can be improved by the addition of a nano-material and a surfactant. Comparative experiments proved that the absorption of the complex of Pb- DBONPF was increased by 153.9% due to the conjugated system of the c-CNTs and the solubilization of CTMAB.
