Abstract

In this paper, the performances of a novel burst-outputted model which based on differentiated probability in an optical burst switching (OBS) core router have been proposed and analyzed. Different from the same probability to select output-port model in previous works, proposed model gives a burst-outputted process with different probabilities, which based on the fact that, output-ports may lead to variable distance with the same destination. The burst blocking probability, the system-passed rate, the average output-port occupied value and the efficiency have been given and discussed.
