Abstract
A novel bi-directional battery charger topology which consists of a full-bridge converter and a bidirectional DC-DC converter is proposed according to the special requirement of bidirectional battery charger for electric vehicle (EV),. This bidirectional charger can achieve two functions including battery charging and vehicle to grid (V2G), and its rated power is 2 kW. Experimental results verify the functions and performance of the charger.
