Abstract

Plasma milling results in more reactive sites and a larger contact area between WO3 nanoparticles and C atoms, and simultaneously generats more oxygen vacancies and defects on the surfaces of WO3 and C respectively via plasma discharge as describe in the article, number 2200175 by Zhongchen Lu and co-workers. Thus, the reaction temperature for the carbothermal reduction reaction reduces significantly by plasma milling.
