Abstract

This article proposes a new method for determining the behavior and service life of contact areas of parts subjected to fretting-fatigue. The first objective was to be able to predict the service life of contact parts with various curvature radii from fretting-fatigue tests on laboratory test geometries such as cylinder-plane. The second objective was to be able to predict the service life for variable amplitude and multiaxial loading conditions from laboratory tests in constant amplitude loading conditions.
