Abstract
Management of horizontal root fractures presents a challenge to clinicians because of the difficulty in achieving a stable reunion of fracture fragments. This case report describes a novel approach in the management of a horizontally fractured central incisor by intra-radicular splinting using a self adjusting file and use of mineral trioxide aggregate as an obturating material. Short-term follow-up of the case showed promising results both clinically and radiographically.
