Abstract

The process of segmenting brain tumors is very important for a number of different uses, including clinical practice, medical imaging, and medical research. Because of an MRI scan, we are able to segment the brain tumor and identify any abnormal growth of tissues that may be present in the image. The planning of therapy is an essential component in enhancing the overall quality of life of oncological patients. In this research study, we suggest the use of the Hybrid Fuzzy C Mean (HFCM) and the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for the purpose of segmenting the brain tumor. The area-of-interest in the multimodal MRI scans, and then to extract some seed points from there for use in region growth based on an HFCM. Image pre-processing, HFCM for locating the Region of interest, and CNN for segmenting the tumor make up the three stages that comprise the proposed technique.
