Abstract
We suggest that Dalitz plots for 3π decays and annihilations are “measurements” of ππ scattering in the double spectral region. Veneziano's formula for crossing-symmetric Regge trajectories both justifies the external mass extrapolation and correctly predicts the experimental results. It also fulfills Adler's self-consistency condition if αϱ(m π 2) = 1 2 .
