Abstract
A novel approach towards the synthesis of α-ketoamides using a TBHP/I2-promoted tandem reaction of amines with β-diketones via C–C bond cleavage has been developed. This one-pot reaction proceeded well under metal-free conditions and generated the corresponding products with good yields.
