Abstract

As part of modern medical systems, wireless body area networks (WBANs) are mainly used to monitor body conditions of patient by collecting biological data in real time using sensors and then send the information to the remote doctors or experts for clinical diagnostics. For the wireless environment, WBANs faces the challenges of patient's privacy leakage and various attacks. However, many of existing schemes are not computationally efficient and high communication cost. To overcome these drawbacks, we propose a new certificate‐less anonymous authentication scheme in WBANs. The detailed analysis results demonstrate that the proposed scheme not only meets the security and privacy requirements of WBANs but also provides lower computation cost.
