Abstract

A novel blind source separation (BSS) method of Frequency-Hopping (FH) signals based on time frequency ratio is proposed in this paper. The Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) of each observation is computed firstly. Then the TF Ratios information of the mixed signals is used to localize the single source zone. Finally, we can obtain an estimation of the separating matrix and output signals. Comparing with the classical BSS methods based on Independent Component Analysis (ICA), this approach set less constraints on the source signals, such as stationarity and independence. So it is more suitable to separate non-stationary sources, e.g. Frequency-Hopping signals. Simulation results demonstrate that the method is effective.
