Abstract

A novel adaptive dynamic particle swarm optimization (ADPSO) combined with support vector machine (SVM) is proposed for Transgenic Organisms distinguish based on terahertz spectroscopy (THz). The ADPSO-SVM algorithm includes perception and an updated mechanism. In each screening step, the algorithm can perception the change of the external environment and update the particle swarm to obtain the global optimal solution. Some transgenic cotton seeds data set mimicking the terahertz spectra of tissue samples are applied to evaluate the performance of the ADPSO-SVM. The experimental results show that, the recognition rate of ADPSO-SVM reaches to 96.970%. Therefore, the ADPSO-SVM can provide an accurate, fast, simple, and nondestructive detection method for transgenic cotton combined with terahertz spectroscopy.
