Abstract

The artificial mains network (AMN) has been utilized as a standard device in the conducted emission measurement, which affects the measurement accuracy severely. The performance, mechanism and transmission paths of the conducted emission have been analyzed. The parasitic parameters (RS and LS) and its high frequency equivalent circuit of the adapter have been presented, which can impact the input impedance Zin. To solve the problem, a novel adapter has been proposed in the paper to improve the accurate measurement of AMN input impedance at equipment under test (EUT) port. The theoretical and experiment results show that the impedance magnitude and phase errors of AMN is acceptable and conducted emission can be measured very well by employing the proposed adapter with high accuracy and repeatability.
