Abstract
A novel form of double square loop (DSL) antenna for beam adaptive applications is proposed. The double square loop antenna consists of two individual square loops placed at 45deg to each other with a common centre. The antenna has eight feeding points on the inner track, which when excited one at a time steer the beam at 45deg throughout the 360deg of space. In addition, the DSL antenna operates at two different frequencies in the UWB region, thus offering a multichannel operation.
