A Note to our Readers and Authors

Abstract

You will notice that the lead article in this issue, “Policymaking in the Parallelogram of Forces: Common Agency and Human Service Provision” by Anthony Bertelli and Lawrence Lynn, is a repeat of the same article printed in the last issue (Volume 32, Number 2). This article is reprinted because mistakes in the page proofing process resulted in several printing errors in the bibliography of the paper. We take such errors very seriously, and we take the prompt and visible correction of such errors equally seriously. We reprinted the paper as the lead article of this issue to assure that the correct version is both prominent and readily accessible. The electronic version of the paper will reflect only the corrected version. In addition, we have made institutional changes that will make the recurrence of such errors highly improbable. The editorial staff at the PSJ will henceforth review the changes in proofs requested by authors to be sure that all reasonable changes have been made before an issue is printed. We at the Policy Studies Journal and at Blackwell Publishers deeply regret the errors that slipped by us.
