Abstract

1.1. Comparison is made between the amino-acid composition of Corymorpha perisarc and that of Pennaria, the float of Velella, the tube of Pachycerianthus and the mesogloea of Corymorpha.2.2. While the amino acid composition of mesogloea is close to that characteristic of invertebrate collagens the exoskeletal materials are qualitatively and quantitatively different.
