Abstract

In their volume on Tumors of Bone, Geschickter and Copeland divide osteogenic sarcomas into four groups, one of which, the so-called chondroblastic sarcoma, originates from the epiphyseal cartilage. Chondroblastic sarcoma, though rare, is undoubtedly a well defined form of tumour. A characteristic example from my laboratory has been described by Hammarstrom (Fig. 1).
