Abstract
It is revealed through vector analysis that the dynamic equations in polar coordinates, which have been used in some research work for cylindrical wave problems, have a little defect in the acceleration terms. This defect might induce errors for some specific problems. Suggestions are given with regard to the treatment of this defect.
