Abstract

The change of the difference on the interelectronic interaction energy and the electrostatic potential at the nucleus obtained from Clementi’s near Hartree–Fock calculations on isoelectronic atomic series is discussed in base to the Linderberg’s Z-perturbation theory. Results agree with those derived from the alternative study made from the introduction of the concept of effective nuclear charge.
