Abstract

The pathologic examination revealed an unencapsulated, well circumscribed nodule composed of thickened, hyalinized collagen arranged in a laminated, whorled pattern with collagen clefting, slit-like vessels, and histiocytic infiltrate (Fig 2; original magnification, 3100). Tumor cells were stellate, multinucleated, and had focal mild nuclear atypia but no mitotic activity (Fig 3; original magnification, 3400). Adnexal structures were absent.
