Abstract

A 60-year-old retired miner with a medical history of chronic obstructive lung disease presented with a 5-month history of a growing mass on his left forearm. The physical examination revealed a mildly tender, firm, well demarcated erythematous dome-shaped nodule with a central crater (Fig 1). The remainder of the history and physical examination were noncontributory. A skin biopsy specimen was obtained and is shown in Figs 2 and 3.
