A 50-year-old woman presented with influenza A–associated myocarditis complicated by refractory cardiogenic shock. She was intubated and mechanically ventilated, and received venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) by femoral cannulation. Vasopressors could then be weaned. ECMO
