Abstract
A 2D metal-organic framework (MOF) of Zn(CH3COO)2(L) (namely ECUT-137, HL = 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole) was synthesized by hydrothermal reaction of Zn(CH3COO)2 and HL at 180 °C. The Zn(II) ions in ECUT-137 show the common tetrahedral geometry and combined together by L− ligands, creating a 2D net. Impressively, the solid of ECUT-137 renders strong blue emission at 433 nm if excitated at 382 nm. More importantly, ECUT-137 enables unprecedented persistent luminescence lasting about 3 s.
