Abstract

A new view of multiple-input and single-output (MISO) technology in the frequency selective channels has been expressed in this letter. The definition of the virtual multiple receive antennas is proposed, which shows the maximum degree of freedom in the MISO frequency selective channel is more than one. Analytical and simulation results show that channel capacity can be improved by increasing the number of transmit antennas in the MISO frequency selective environment.
