Abstract
The scalar Preisach model of hysteresis is extended to the isotropic vector case by introducing a new type of elementary vector Play operators. The new isotropic vector hysteresis model can reproduce with reasonable accuracy the qualitative behavior of magnetic vector hysteresis in isotropic materials and is rather fast, from the computational point of view, with respect to the classical vector extensions of the Preisach model of hysteresis. Comparison between computation and measured data are made in the case of scalar as well as vector hysteresis curves.
