Abstract
To improve the ultrasonic energy transfer efficiency of the high-frequency ultrasonic transducer used in micro-nano manipulating, manufacturing, and machining, a new type of ultrasonic transducer is designed in which a particular flexible mounting clamp is used. Different from the traditional mounting clamp that commonly adopts a rigid connecting arm, the newly proposed clamp introduces a parallelogram-compliant mechanism, which can provide the clamp a translation pair along the longitudinal direction of the transducer. The performance test results manifest that the newly proposed ultrasonic transducer has a good motion decoupling ability, and it also has a desired ultrasonic energy transfer efficiency, presenting a wide and bright application prospect.
