Abstract
A significant number of persons with hearing loss have serious problem manispulating the conventional volume control wheels on present instruments because of stroke or arthritis. Three experimental hearing aids were built to the author's specifications by the Danavox Corporation, using a 3-position power switch in place of a volume control wheel. Several subjects using the experimental aid experienced significant success using the lever-as opposed to a conventional volume control wheel and it is recommended that all hearing aid manufacturers make available the new experimental type of volume control.Et betydeligt antal tunghore – specielt patienter med lidelser eller folger efter hjerneblodning – har alvorlige problemer med at betjene horeapparaternes volumenkontrolhjul.
